Payment Options for Your New A/C Unit

Payment Options for Your New AC Unit

Air conditioning units are a necessary investment for the comfort of your home and your health. With the initial AC unit price, plus all the accessories that come with it, and the installation fee, the final cost of your air conditioning can add up! Unfortunately, having a top-notch and reliable HVAC system in your home is non-negotiable. Before you make your final purchase, you should know all of your payment options for a new air conditioner and the number of ways that you can make affordable payments.

At Air Rescue Air Conditioning, we know how important it is that you find the best AC unit at the most affordable price for you. That’s why we accept a variety of forms of payment and offer several financing plans so you can feel comfortable when you make your final purchase. Plus, you may qualify for additional benefits, depending on your age or military status. Our payment options include:

Cash

You can absolutely use cash to purchase your AC unit. With this option, you benefit from not having to sign any extra paperwork and having zero finance fees. No need for any extra payments to make. Just remember to only make a cash payment if it doesn’t make a major dent in your monthly budget, or wipes out your savings!

Credit

Depending on your line of credit and your monthly budget, using a credit card purchase could be a great way to pay for your new AC unit. It can be a great way to build your credit score, but only if you have the money to pay your credit card bill at the end of the month. Just make sure you are financially capable of using your credit card for a purchase of this size, and that your interest rate isn’t too high.

Financing

If cash or credit isn’t a viable option for you, then financing your HVAC purchase may be the best payment option for you. Whether you finance from the bank, a credit union, your HVAC provider directly, or elsewhere, financing is a loan that you borrow, where you agree to pay a monthly payment, as well as a small interest fee. Often times, it is better to finance from a credit union or directly from your HVAC dealer, as interest fees are much lower. At Air Rescue, we offer financing plans from PACE, Synchrony Bank, and Wells Fargo. Visit our Financing page to learn more about our flexible financing options.

Homeowners Insurance

If you have a damaged AC unit from a storm or other natural disaster, your homeowner’s insurance may cover the cost of the damage for free, or at a very small cost to you. Similarly, if your AC unit needs to be replaced, your homeowner’s insurance may cover the entire cost of replacement.

Soldiers and Veterans

Active-duty soldiers and veterans can get financial assistance to help pay for emergency expenses from different military groups, such as the American Red Cross Hero Care Center and the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. Visit those websites directly for more information and to see if you qualify for their assistance.

Senior Citizens

For low-income senior citizens, the U.S. Department of Agriculture offers long term financial plans for loans up to $20,000 at interest rates of 1%. Qualified candidates may also apply for grants of up to $7,500 to pay for their HVAC units. Learn more about grants and financing opportunities by visiting Energy Star website.
